So you have heard of twitter But what is it and how can it help grow your business?
Ok so twitter is a social networking tool that means you have to be sociable and network.Simple but what exactly do you tweet about if you are trying to use it for marketing?
The trick is to actually listen in on conversations that are relevant to your business and help people with their problems.You cant just blast out spam messages you will get zero return. Go to search.twitter.com and type in keywords related to your business for example say you sell picnic furniture
You might search for the phrase “going on a picnic” the results returned will be real time conversations of people talking about going on a picnic what a fantastic opportunity for you to join in the conversation and offer some useful advice.
Remember try not to sell them anything just give good advice to begin with build a rapport then offer your service or products as a natural solution to peoples problems.
People are tuned into radio twitter wiifm yep whats in it for me so you have to offer to solve peoples problems don’t try and sell them. The more value you give to people the better for you
This technique will work for any business and any service just pick the right search phrases, experiment and track your conversations.
